The Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort was constructed to wind its way through the trees so that none of the trees fell to make way for buildings. This is why the main public building is unusually shaped, making graceful curves around the vegetation. All this greenery attracts nearby animals makes Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort not only home to resident giraffe, waterbuck and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on our expansive lawns.
As a leading Naivasha Hotel from the Sopa Lodges Hotel-chain, Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort features 21 two-story cottages aligned in a crescent shape. The buildings have colorful stones covered in climbing vines and flowers, the unusual-looking roofs form sweeping violet arcs over the structures. With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment we carefully positioned all the buildings on our property so we did not have to fell any of the many trees there.
Each cottage in Sopa Lodge Naivasha has two rooms per floor. Bottom floor rooms have two queen-sized beds and include a lavishly furnished living room which opens onto the gardens. Top floor rooms have a single king-sized bed and a furnished balcony with wrought iron railings. Each room has its own fully-equipped private bathroom.
When you are not enjoying the comforts of your cottage, you are welcome to have a drink or bite to eat in the huge dining annex with an outdoor patio, poolside restaurant or one of the two bars. Or opt for extra relaxation in the in-house health spa; one of the few Spas in Lake Naivasha.
